WHO'S INVITED? Everyone willing to serve. We invite all Upper Cervical doctors and students. It is primarily a Knee Chest trip but all Upper Cervical persuasions will be accommodated to the best of our ability. We as well invite spouses, CA's, friends, people from your church, teenagers (accompanied with proper supervision). We need every hand we can get to help us serve the most.
The Guatemala 08 Mission team will depart Atlanta Hartsfield Airport on Saturday, November 1, 2008 and return on Saturday, November 8, 2008. This will be an EXCELLENT ADVENTURE in bringing Upper Cervical to Guatemala.
The KCUCS World Missions has touched 4 continents with Upper Cervical Missions (Africa, India, Europe and Central America). This will be our 4th Mission into Guatemala. We have built solid relationships that will help assure our effectiveness.
We will be helping people in primarily 3 regions: the first being San Juan Sacatepaquez, a village town of around 30,000 people 45 minutes bus ride from Guatemala City. We will as well have a station in Downtown Guatemala City where we will see people from every walk of life. There will be everything from business people to kids living on the streets sniffing glue. The third station, and usually the mission team's favorite, will be a place called ‘Railroad Track City’. There was a Railroad which, a number of years ago, was used to transport goods from Central America to the U.S. Now the Railroad is dysfunctional and left desolate with hundreds of miles of lean-to aluminum corrugated structures families use for shelter. There are literally thousands of people just within the Guatemala City region living in these conditions with extreme poverty. In fact, it is said to be the poorest region in all of Guatemala.
Our group will be hosted by church ministries guiding us where we can best be used and are most needed as well as keep us safe. Our team will also go into churches, schools and possibly a few orphanages. As the mission field goes, many things can open up in the spur of the moment. In any case we will be bringing hope, love and care to all those we have the privilege of serving.
The primary focus of the mission will be to deliver the Upper Cervical Specific. There will be opportunities and we will encourage all those who desire to pray with people as well as participate in church services.
If this is like the first three missions in Guatemala we will experience many healings', seeing how what we do changes lives, sometimes in instantaneous and dramatic fashion. I expect this will be a trip of a life time.
We will lodge at the Biltmore Express downtown Guatemala City. This is our 4th visit to this hotel. We have been so happy with the accommodations, security, and their service we continue to return.
The total cost for the trip, $1495*. This will cover airline costs, travel within the country, food, lodging, Polo Mission shirts, and miscellaneous (paying KCUCS executive director salary to coordinate the mission, etc.). All travel arrangements are not completed. We have made the best estimate we can with the facts we have. This price will not lower or raise more than $30. As soon as price is completely finalized we will publish it.
We have a sample Support Letter you are invited to use to help raise funds for you to be included on this mission team. Some people have been overwhelmed by support they have garnered. It is a great way to share in the Blessing of the Mission Field. Please contact us for this support letter.
If you have any questions in regards to the upcoming mission please contact us at kcucs@yahoo.com or call 573 334 0100. Thanks and we hope you will join us either on the trip or in prayer!
